As you know I lived up there for a while.
You have your basic parks, schools, tot lots etc...Remember,
there are a ton 1/2 of minerals in the ground up there making it frustrating sometimes to detect. Turn down the sensitivity knock on a few doors and have fun!

I used to detect the Gold mine tailings, but you have to be careful.
Most of Colorado is privately owned so you have to get your permission.
Be careful up there if you decide to work the tailings. I still have scars on my knees from sliding down them a couple times. Leadville is an amazing town with a cool history! Check out the Museum if you go too!

Thanks Mike! I forgot that You lived in leadville :D. If i can do some detecting I'll post my finds when i get back. :)
