Letters & Tags (and another hemweight)

Got out for a short dig today, NeedaCoppa.
Pulled a couple numbered tags, a '44' & a '2 counterstamp 17'
a 'Heinz 57 Varieties' token,
a few more of these brass letters, couple pocketknives,
cool pewter shaker top, 10g shell base,
odd coffin shape perfume case, 'Faoen' by Park & Tilford 1926.
best find of the day, Rosette style Doorstop.
Got a new site for my next search :hello2:
Thanks for Looking & HH

Very interesting finds today Herbie! :notworthy: I just saw on the weather network that another Nor'easter is going to hit your area by Wednesday night . . . looks to be another major storm! :o

This is a neat piece . . . this isn't the 10g shell base is it? :icon_scratch:

Thanks,
Dave

Hello Dave,
The Item you picture is a whatsit, Ive found a few of these in the past :dontknow:
the shot base is just below the marble, it is a 'Winchester #10 New Rival'
Found a full brass case yesterday, an earlier date 'Winchester #10'
think I've recovered 5 10G shells from this site,
obviously an area where goose hunting was popular, my grandfather called his 10G
a 'Goose Gun'
Yep, the snow is coming, gonna try to get out early & sling some mud! :hello2:
