Today's find was a small 18mm silver coin. It difficult to ID but I did find an 1803 Heraldic Eagle at the same site. Also found was a 1787 New Jersey Copper, Large Planchet, (63Q)??. The other day at the same site I found a 1794 Liberty Cap Sheldon 66?? I would say reale as well. Probably 1/2 based on the size. Looks like you can see some of the writing around the edge in the first pic. My guess would be the "ET IND" part.

Dang are you kidding what a great day for you my town was founded in 1826 and these stingy folk didnt drop the first coin till 1900 and they picked it right back up thats amazing to find coins that old Well done I would be pitching a tent there.

Wow the Liberty Cap is a beauty! Those are hard to find and such a nice looking coin. That NJ copper has really good detail as well! Congrats on those. That silver looks Spanish but I couldn't say for sure. It's interesting that it picked up some graffiti in the way of those lines at some point after it was worn smooth. Imagine the places that coin has been to become that worn?

Large cent is variety Sheldon-46. Not a rare variety, but a very nice recovery!
