Lipscomb cache near Lagrange, Ga

have heard many stories about this buried cache, and i live near lagrange Ga. I was wondering if anyone has information or is familiar with the area it is suppossed to be located? and also if anyone has ever hunted for it?

I have read about it, Looked on a map and mapquest trying to see if I could figue out the area where it was. Maybe the next time I go to Atlanta, I'll drive by where it may have been and check it out.....
The story is that he etched minor directions onto a lead plate of some sort, to 2 caches which had previous been buried close to his house. The lead plate thing was found in 1960's by Titus Johnson who didn't know what it was, he took it home, later realized what it was but if not in the exact location the direction where meaningsless. I don't think that treasure is still there, That one would be just too easy for a dower to find.
