Merry Christmas To All On The Forum
Oh, how well I remember
When I was just a lad,
For it was in December
That Santa got so mad.
It was very late that night
When I got out of bed
And noticed something red and white
Riding in a sled.
It came from out the darkened sky
I saw it very clear
And wondered how a sled could fly
Being pulled by eight reindeer.
I ran into the living room
And hid behind a chair,
In my hand I held a broom
To hit him, you know where.
On the roof I heard a noise,
Then later on the floor
And saw a man with a sack of toys
Walking toward the door.
He listened very carefully
And didn’t hear a creep,
Then he said so merrily
“I guess they are all asleep.”
I swung the broom with all I could
And smacked him on the head,
It must have been as hard as wood,
Cause he ran back to his sled.
The sled leaped back into the sky,
It didn’t even pause,
That’s when I came to realize
That he was Santa Clause.
