I found one of the smallest stemmed points I have ever found yesterday.
The coin too. It is the 7th old coin I have found in this one little field. I
also have found 3 buffalo nickels, a 1901 dime and an 1887 quarter all in this
one field out in the middle of nowhere. I wish I had a metal detector.
Anyway, although I got no responses on my last posted point, I was wndering if any of you knew what kind the stemmed one is. The other is obviously a madison. Thanks-Darrin

If you've found that much with no detector, go buy one - cheap one is $50-100, or tell me where the field is ;D Theres got to be more!

Jonzer - It looks to me like a Lowe Flared Base (Steuben). I've found a lot of them in So Il, so you're a little out of area but not too far. Generally a middle to late woodland point. Just my 2 cents. The other point pictured in this thread looks like an Intrusive Mound point.
