Sorry Smudge I musta missed this one. The other forty guys might have been lazy or were only looking for entertainment. Yes the LOBO is excellent on the small stuff too. Most hunters don't realize the smaller ticks can be targets too. It is fun to find the small stuff when the big stuff is rare and they add up.

Thanks Sandman. I see a lot of people talk about their coin finds with the Lobo, but very little about jewelry finds.

I'm one of the 40 who peeked in here, but don't know anything about the Lobo and wanted to know some answers myself. :icon_scratch:

Has anyone tried jewelry hunting with the Lobo?

I don't just mean rings. Most detectors can find those.

I'm talking about the really small stuff, like gold chains and earring studs.

Has anyone had any luck in this area?

I know the Compadre is good at this, but is the higher frequency Lobo even better?

lobo with a big 12x10" coil is by far my favorite jewelry hunting machine.

also in fresh water (keep the control box around your neck).

I wouldnt trade my lobo with any other detector.

The Lobo can find very small targets and chains - In "ALL METAL." It loses a lot of depth and sensitivity as soon as you flip it into Discriminate, and still loves big, deep, iron. Here are some of the targets I recovered with the Lobo Super Trac over about 7-months.
