Working on getting my points organized, here’s one i found on the river. There were a few similar options like Gary or Langtry but loftin seemed to fit the best

It’s funny how point forms can have regional names, I’d have to imagine there’s more evidence to divide them but it seems on the surface like several people named the same point and want to maintain credit/the name they are comfortable with

Never heard of that type before. I wonder how many has said Gary on that type. Nice looking point

Actually, pretty common to find that style here in my area too. I've always thought they were Morrow Mountains.

Here you go, as far as I understand adena and morrow mountain are east of the Mississippi, Langtry more Texas and Gary are a bit more stubby at the base… and I am definitely swayed by how well it matches up in overstreet, 15th edition

I’m sure you are correct. We have Gary types in my area they say and Adena to. Now Adena points are not present below the fault line in Georgia. If someone finds something below the fault line it will be a MM. Although I can find MM here as well as Adena and Gary’s but I probably wouldn’t know the difference. I do have a couple of Beavertail types called Turkeytail Harrison’s I’ve found.
