I love to see the "less than spectacular" hunts. Seems like too many posts of things that appear to be out of reach for most hunters. Not enough of the "nuts & bolts" hunts. We all know that not every hunt turns up a banner treasure. But, those who don't have the time to put into finding them sometimes feel left out here. They don't post because their find isn't ancient!

Silver dime? Couple of wheats? A fine day for me!

Well said! That's a good hunt, any day of the week.

Any hunt with silver is a good hunt in my book, even if I spend $5 in gas to get that silver dime!

It is true that not all of us live in areas with robust pasts, or Civil War camps, or other ancient history...Most of us live in little out of the way towns, or villages, where we are lucky to get into any place with history attached to it... Around my area, we have pretty much hunted out all of the parks and public places...Even some of the wooded areas fail to produce anymore.
So here is to the Average Hunter...Hi Ho Silver!!!

A silver by any other name is still a silver and would make my hunt great. Nice find!

I agree. A silver dime and two wheats would be a good day for me.

Good on ya GoGo, glad your still getting out. Managed a couple silvers at the school where I met you and Doc. Hope we still have a few good days left to hunt.
