Times are tough and biglots rules right now!!!

Hey all i can say is that why pay more than $50 for a shovel when u can make your own or buy a cheaper version that works as well

Yep.

It appears IF The Shovel Breaks off at
the Neck I May be able to
replace it with a Steel Scoop
by removing the rubber grip and sliding it in.

as is , it should be fine for fields

Found those last summer at big lots, broke 1 the first time out, it just bent over, the other didn't last long either. Save your $5 and buy yourself lunch!

I also bought one like this at Home Depot. It didn't like the Georgia clay and the trowel head bent pretty quickly. Reinforced it with some metal rod and a little welding. Then the metal handle bent while I had it extended but it does work nice as a long handled digging trowel.

Hey I got one just like that. You just have to be careful on how you use it. A while back I traded some stuff with another guy and as payment he ordered me a Titan shovel from Predator Tools. It is amost 41" high and also perfect for leaning on as the day wears on. Also, it is built like a tank!!! Don't think I'll break it.

see my post on this forum, Woods digger, has a handle, and steel shovel, ash shaft, $ 10.00 , I have seriously abused this tool, best feature; you can use your foot, it is still as new after many woods digs, hard to believe.

Usually you can't expect much for $5. I am always wary of deals that seems to good to be true. Giant chain stores are notorious for selling mass produced garbage for cheap. You think you are getting a good deal when you are in actually wasting money since you will have to go buy a better one when the product breaks.
