LONG DAY - ARTIFACTS AND SILVER

[SHERMANVILLE ILLINOIS]

Have been hunting lately in tot lots, Lake Michigan,
parks, had to get out in the woods for a change.

Weather in Illinois only in the high 80's, but humid
even in the woods, bugs were so-so.

Had some recent rain so I was following a creek and
came across some shards. As far as I can tell dump
for late 40's early 50's. Seem to remember Bowman
Dairy from the 50's. (large bottle)

Picked up mess of liners, few bottles, big metal
cover something, has writing on it but needs to be
cleaned; dead deer; few other odds and ends.

Had a good time in the woods. As I was scouting,
thought I saw a small deer, dang thing is not spooked,
stood there looking at me. I get closer and its got a
mane and a long tail. Small. I get closer I am getting
excited. Just know I have come across a Unicorn. :P
Now that would be a find.

Pony running around in the woods alone; must have
gotten out and having a small adventure. Good for him.

So I’m driving home, tired, sweaty. Need to go
to the washroom..

Had not eaten all day and did not want to stop
at a bar, the beer would have given me a headache.
So, passing a park I notice portable toilets. Swing
in, do my thing, walk towards the van and there is
a tot lot.

Could not pass it by. Just a few quick swings.

Now that is my kind of hunt, Sherm! Not the kind I usually have, but the kind I'd like to have.

I'm a woods hunter myself, but today I worked beside a creekbed in a local park; Lots of clad, nothing neat like in the woods.Things were fine and peaceful till about 10 AM, then the "Watcha Doin', Mister??" crowd showed up ==Another great reason to hunt the woods
