Creek walking this afternoon again. About 2 miles counting distance to and from the creek. 52 degrees F.
I found a lot of misc quartz chunks and chalcedony (not shown) for projects.
In photo:
Left item. I swore it was an unfinished point. Cleaned it up. Just a rock.
Center item. Looked like a spoke-shave for a minute. Just a broken rock.
Right item. Flint debitage.

Amazing how some look so good in situ. Great walk any way. Maybe next time.

I know the feeling, sometimes I come home with a few with potential only to clean them up and see they are flakes or nothing… actually had one that looked like the end of a big biface but once I got all the dirt off it was a hunk of limestone, but silver lining before I tossed it I noticed a little snail or ammonite in it.
