Metal Detecting
This frame is from one site in Macon Co IL. Upper left is a Clovis fragment. Upper right is a flake of Cobden flint. It’s distinctive and here in central IL it’s only found on paleo and middle woodland sites. A Thebes, Kirk, several bifurcated points, a dovetail base all point to a paleo/early archaic site. The green point made into a shaft scraper is made from Attica green flint from IN.
