A disturbing picture. How many rounds could he have squeezed off in that time.

The scary thing is, that technology exists now.

I know the military is working on color changing technology for fighter jets to blend into the surrounding sky.

The one thing that would have given him away in real life verse a photo is the distortion active camo creates with movement.
Even if he was perfectly still, as your prospective changed you would see him. Look for the flickery movement.
Still it would give him an advantage in many situations (like low light) for a few seconds.

I think that the technology they are working on is light refraction.

should be actually Very easy to make
something Invisible from one side.

Video Camera on the Side you Can't see

& Video Screen on the side you Can.

If you Do this from all sides you could make it Virtualey
Invisable from all sides.

the hard part would be perfect positioning of the cameras
on certain backrounds. deserts should be a snap

Thats what I was thinking basically a suit made of tiny pixels and camera's, the side you cannot see would switch to the cameras while the side visible would show the image behind them on the pixels. Of course it sounds a lot easier then it really is. ;D

They've had that for a long time. I guess they never perfected it, but I remember seeing it on T.V. many years ago.
