Wow, can I borrow it? The ground's beginning to get really hard here in Southern Colorado. We had a pretty good rain last night; hopefully it helped. I'm leaving to find out ---

How did it read on your detector? How deep was it? You didn't scratch it did you? Sorry, just habit.

I'm surprised that your wife wouldn't let you keep it. It would have made a great lawn ornament for your front yard.

With the price of scrap as of late....That is the most valuable find i have seen on here in the 3 months or so ive been on this site. Lord i would love to be able to drag that to the port. The scrappers would LOVE me!!!

I hope you weren't wearing your head phones :o? That's a neat old excavator, looks like you could have fired her up and had the wife search the holes ????

Hate to be serious about this since everybody is having so much fun.

Are you "joking" about finding it? Does it appear operable? Do you know who owns it? That's a big machine worth a chunk if it's operable. Is it possibly stolen?

Or....did I just get reeled in on "sucker" bait :-\

Did you have to use a sifter to find it, or were you able to find it in the hole with a pinpointer? Was it on edge?

I agree...the cylinder rods are sure clean (although the hard-chrome plating on them is pretty tough anyway). I wonder if it's just parked there for the moment.
