Hi everyone I'm new and I was hoping that this was right place for getting my questions answered. These are pictures of what I found while walking in the woods with my husband. Not sure what it is I know what I hope it is. So if anyone could help or happens to know what it is I would appreciate any information, thank y'all? Looks like a geode to me... a big old blob of molten rock from a volcano. If it was broken on one end maybe a stalactite/mite

Pretrified Ham Hock. Should be some petrified beans laying around the same area. Cave Cowboys were probably attacked by Cave Indians, spilling the beans. It happened more than you could imagine.

Yes it was heavy and it was not broke I cut the ends with a tile saw to see the inside. How can y'all tell it is not some kinda bone?

Your photos aren't that great, but I'm fairly sure I see color (pinkish) around the outer areas, and crystal structure throughout. I don't think it looks like a bone, but if you want it to be a bone, it's a bone.

It is a form of sandstone. It is a sedimentary rock. It used to be in a billion pieces. It is made of granules of silicon dioxide and some kind of binder. Fossilized bones are usually much older and made of a solid material.
