Right now, if the need to buy another pin pointer should arise,, I would replace it with another
Garret Carrot.

I have the Deteknix (Quest) X Pointer Pro. Waterproof to 200 ft. and very durable. I've dropped mine on my garage floor more times than I care to say. It hits coins at about four inches. I would definitely recommend it.

Definitely the TRX, and I have them all. I like tip only sensing and The TRX has very deep sensing. I am looking to see the new 1st Texas pointers when they finally are available, they also are tip only and have great sensing. They also developed a stronger plastic so we will not be experiencing that tip wear many of us have seen. The new minelab pointers also have some new features. Very soon they all will be available and then make your choice.

Looking to pick up a new pinpointer. Is the carrot still the go to or are there better out there ? What do you use and how have your experiences gone with that product?
Just noticed the machine you hunt with... are you a gold nugget hunter? Not all pinpointers are sensitive to small gold you may want to redirect your question to members with similar situations as yourself
