I know there are a few of you who hunt, find, repair, and sell pocket watches. I am looking for a nice pocket watch with chain for my father in law. Not terribly picky on what it is exactly, just want a quality piece, not cheap crap from China. If anyone has one they are listing, or point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it.

You might look at the Tissot Savvonette it is Swiss made and still reasonably priced. Quartz movement though if your a purist you may not like but I'm betting your Father in law would prefer accuracy of time over an automatic.

A vintage 17 jewel or greater Waltham or Elgin would be a great option. Many are for sale on eBay.

Knowing beachkid he had a decent antique pocketwatch to get rid of. Only one I have needs servicing. Works, but only if you tap on it. Good luck in your quest.
