I am wondering if anyone here can help me with any details regarding the local history of Uvalde, TX and the surrounding areas. Specifically pertaining to the early Sabinal settlements. This is the first article I've read regarding the Patterson settlement.

I've got permission from a ranch owner out there to hunt an earlier settlement in that area. I am just looking for as much additional information that I can before making the trip.

Hey atx...that's an interesting area.
I'm from San Antonio myself, and travel around the Sabinal area often.
Didn't realize there was anything left of the old settlements....hope you find something!
