Shaun7 is visiting tomorrow & I tried out a grass field that we were going to do. 3.5 hours with very little (picture 1). When I got home, Dad arrived at the door & asked if I wanted to look at a ploughed section of a field he found on Friday.
I couldn't believe it when I arrived, a lovely flat ploughed area with no crop. We only did 2 hours but I got:
My 5th Roman Silver this year (0 to Dad
) - Trajan, Rome AD103, Mars adv Right. 
2 Broken Roman Brooches (I thought 1 was Celtic when I found it
)
The loop to an Iron Age Toggle - 2000 years old (a first for me) - missing the main piece.
