Looking to shadow in the Hartford Ct area

Hey everybody,
I am new to this forum and also to this exciting metal detecting community.

I wanted to know if there was anyone around the Bristol, CT area that I could shadow for an afternoon.

I had a choice to choose as a gift the Garrett AT Pro for my birthday or a family trip to DC for my 44th birthday next week ( I chose DC because of my little ones wanted an adventure)

Fathers day or sooner I will purchase my detector and accessories.
