I'm sorry but I don't see pearls here, based on the materials used it looks to be costume jewelry to me.
What I think you have here is a necklace that has been put into a watch case for safe keeping.

Zero markings, i could of missed it possibly but i am fairly thourough and i use a jewelers loop to check.

Didn't Elgin offer a man and woman's watch set at one time called the Lord & Lady ? That could explain the box.

I agree with them but you could take it to a jeweler its a much better ID having it in hand.
