older silver...
different spot today
water was not calm as I would have liked - viz was horrible
could only see the white wing nut on my coil support - with my mask on
I mention this because if conditions were better - I would have done even better
lot of silt in the water and current was pushing me off targets now and then
first coin was stand lib quarter - so that made me feel good
lot of the other silver was down foot - foot and a half
silver ring was way down - barely gave a signal - fanned bunch of sand to make sure I even had a reading
rechecked and got a whisper - was hoping I had a gold when I look in scoop thru the cloud of sand and silt
and saw ring
marked sterling - so its an older one - relig. medal was a "big" surprise - its huge and also an older
one - marked sterling also
2 sil. quarters
8 sil.dimes (5 mercs - 3 sil.roos.)
buffalo nickel
sterling ring
sterling medal

boy ...id love to get a clear water day here - they removed the lifeguard buoys
and that made it worse - that is how I would gauge where I found what and
when I would get a good coin spot - impossible to find it again when I got away from the area
cant see where ive been - cant see any large rocks etc - think id be doing even better
with a calm clear day - but still happy with what I got

Nice hunt.... it's always a bummer to be moved off a target by wave action or currents. Nice job! Great finds!

guys with CTX'S have been all over this place :tongue3:
think they think its cleaned out I know a lot of Excals been here
and Ive gotten no less than 15 old gold here over last few years - and I live 2 1/2 hrs away
so don't get here as often as Id like - they need to hunt in all metal - but most wont learn
look at how much trash Im digging - not much in my book

Funny you say about the life guard buoys, I use the crab pots as markers. I know once I'm past certain ones and the tide is down the treasure lies....Great job on the Silver..
