The state library in Baton Rouge has the maps, but I was always told, by them, that I would have to go to the library to view them at that location. In the past, last year, I've tried to access them online at the state library web page, but it said you had to be a state employee, etc. in order to get online access to the online databases.

Well, I was on my local libraries homepage, Lafayette, the other day and I noticed Sanborn Maps were now listed in the online database! I know they weren't there last year.

Anyway, to sum it up. I can now gain access to the online Sanborn database through my local library website AND I can now gain access to the state library using my library card! Something has changed in the access capabilities...and it's great. :icon_thumleft:
