never knew it had a smell! I sure love the looks of it better out of the ground than the water, that is for sure. Nice score

Hey Shak, silver Washingtons are one of my favorite targets (actually any big silver), but congrats on your find, great save! It's been a while since I've experienced the scent of big silver...heck, if I found one today I'd probably smell it AND taste it. In fact, I often "field clean" my silvers in my mouth lol...Thx for sharing, Ddf.

Yeah, it was one of those gorgeous mornings where everything's quiet (except the bugs). This is a VERY big, semi-old park. It's been pounded for years, but the sheer size of it makes it impossible to ever be hunted out.

Funny, this thing rang up silver quarter all the way on the AT PRO (86, 88, 87, 88, 86, 89...) and I was thinking "Nah, it's only about 3 inches down. How could someone have missed this?"

Sure enough...

Shak...I've moved on to the Max, have yet to unearth a silver GW with it, but maaaann...that tone!? I'm a quarter hoarder and can dig them all day long, live that high chirp! And then on to silver...if the numbers are sometimes jumpy or bouncy...that high chirp never lies. Ddf.
