My first Mercury dime. Stopped and talked to a guy mowing an overgrown farm, asked for permission and he said go for it. He also mentioned that another detectorist had asked and some guys from work we're going to come out and try at some point. That meant I went out there the very next morning to beat the rush.
The site was very trashy, luckily I had the 5x8 coil on. I set the disc to Max and sensitivity down 4 or so notches and went to town. It was like someone had broken a piggy bank in the yard. Nearly every good signal was a coin. Pulled a fistful of clad, some wheats, and this dime on the side of the yard near the driveway. Also got the innards to a pocket watch.
Can't wait to go back.
