Lucky Find From Childhood!

Hey guys,

I was going through an old container I had in a box at my parents place. It was full of coins I had saved when I was a kid. A bunch of 1976 quarters, wheat cents and Susan B Anthony dollars.

I recently got back into coin collecting as an adult and was surprised to find that my 7 year old self had saved a 1931 s cent! Its in really good condition, at least Very Fine. I see some on ebay for $100+!

Gotta love it! I recently did the same, going through all of the Halves, Ikes, bicentennial quarters, etc. that I collected as a kid. Unfortunately, apart from some average wheats and a '63 Rosie everything else was common clad. Still, they brought back some fond memories. Congrats on your find along Memory Lane!

I'm still pretty young, but I found that my younger self had saved a Mercury Dime, which when I got older realized it was a silver and worth a small amount.
