I found this Copper Nugget 6” deep at a Public Park in Lufkin, Texas. It also was in a low traffic area within the park. Super strong signal. Heavy and dense weight for it’s size.

According to what I have read, Copper has never been significantly mined in Texas.

Do you think?
Natural Nugget?
Slag from burn or corrosion?

It looks like it has a seam in it. I imagine it is an immigrant to the area from somewhere, and not native to the area. Maybe a glob from one of the local scrap yards?

You were in Lufkin Texas (home of the chic-o-stick) and all you brought home was a copper nugget? 8-)
The apparent seam is kinda suspicious. Do you see shiny copper if you rub or sand a spot?
