Luggage Tag Found in Amarillo - Picture added

Found it near an alley on a now vacant lot near the tracks running east/west in Amarillo. It cleaned up great.

Seems to date from the late 1890s.

I wanted to add this old picture I found on Google Books.

I believe it to be a railroad luggage tag,is there any other info on the tag?
Such as a makers mark...Soup

No maker mark and nothing on back.

Pecos Valley Railroad
Prior to his move to New Mexico, in 1890 Hagerman incorporated the Pecos Valley Railroad to construct a railroad from Pecos, Texas, to Eddy (now Carlsbad), New Mexico, along the Pecos River. Hagerman wanted his line to connect with the Texas and Pacific Railway to improve local access to markets. The Pecos Valley Railroad was completed in 1890.

The discovery of a major artesian aquifer in the area in 1891 led Hagerman to extend his railroad. Hagerman reorganized the company and formed the Pecos Valley and Northeastern Railroad. Work began on extending the line toward Amarillo, Texas. The line reached Roswell and Portales in 1894, and connected to the Panhandle and Santa Fe Railroad at Texico. The line opened in 1899.

What year(s) would you put it at? After 1899? Is it rare, very low number on it? I can't find any like it on net. Approx value?

It is a nice find,but the overcleaning would have decreased the value to a collector greatly.
The original found/patina is most desirable if it can be preserved by light cleaning,it is easy to overdo it.

Helps me date the tag to after 1898.
