I don't think it's a concretion Kat. Have you looked at it with a magnifying glass? I hope Harry puts his 2 cents worth in. He could probably tell you what it is.

What do you think it is mamabear? And what should I be looking for with the mag.? You probably know more about it than I do. lol Yes, wish Harry would take a look, he's a pretty popular guy though....there should be a "Harry" button we could push for questions. lol

Post in the fossil forum for a second opinion. I'm not sure what that is, either.

How big is it? & can you see anything on the "bumps" that look like coral? That's a possibility, but again I can't tell from pix. & you are right, we need a Harry button. Don't need an EU cuz he is readily available. Thanks EU for being there. & I love it when a guy says he doesn't know!! Gives me faith in humanity.

Maybe will try the fossil forum Eu, since no one here seems to know.

Mamabear....it's 2 inches long and looks like a "stone nut" or peach seed to me. lol Coral...I don't know, not really familiar with it? Think I'll give the fossil sit a try, probably will get laughed out...ha! But thanks for trying to help. :)

I did google the "fossil brain coral" maipenrai, but it sort of looked a bit different then this...more "bumpy lines", where this one is just random bumps....so I don't know, but thank you for that suggestion. :)
