Here's some recent Lycopod fossil finds I've made.

First, a very nice Stigmaria specimen in red sandstone:

Next is a large Lycopod tree trunk although I can't tell if it's Lepidodendron or Sigillaria:

I found quite a few lycopod specimens at the location, many I left for others. The red sandstone was literally full of plant material fossils in addition to the Stigmaria.

Cool plant fossils Richard. I always wondered why these fossils are so well preserved in sandstone. Always great to bring back large fossils. Of course when I finally pass away my relatives will dread attempting to clean out all my fossil, rock and mineral specimens out of my home.
