Nice Peace dollar! Does it have an S mint mark on the back? The '24 S is a better date coin, worth more than the '24. Either way, you can't beat a silver dollar for a buck! Congrats.

Dang nice job- I just bought 5 fairly nice conditioned ones for $21 a piece always better to get them for face value

It's plain, no mintmark. Getting a '24-S would be pretty sweet. Unfortunately, it has some rim damage, so it's probably just worth melt.

Wow, I don't get why I can't ever run into teller tray finds like this! I'm jealous of anyone that finds teller tray silver let alone a peace dollar!

I'm pretty sure she was a brand new teller, looked quite young. I'd never seen her there before... granted, I hardly ever go there, but still. When I asked the older guy who is head teller if they had large dollars, he says no, and she responds "I just got a few in today!" and he looked a little surprised. So I'm thinking he had no idea about them.

I'm always asking for halves and big dollars in hope of scoring a peace, morgan, or ASE. I can't imagine anyone giving them to me, but I keep asking just in case. I do get the occaisional ike, but I haven't got a 40% ike yet. Nice score. What are the other coins in your hand? Ikes?
