Try your local office supply store..They may have one with a light in it and that may help...Also they now have clip on magnifiers for your glasses.

Every college has a surplus store where they sell surplus items once a week to the public.

Fortunately, we are a State run facility and get all our stuff for free. But, the prices they ask in surplus are so low you can't beat it.

But always plug things in to be sure they work before you purchase them.
I have some Baush and Laumb lighted light used in Laboratories. I love them. And they turn up in the surplus stores often.

I have a BelOMO 10x Triplet Loupe Folding Magnifier. I think I paid about $25 for it, but it is a high quality loupe that'll last you a lifetime. Better than B&L at more money.

That, and cheap reading glasses should do you.
