Ok, ok. Not technically a hunt, but I did get this in the mailbox today. Most of you know, but for those that don't...ModernMiner (Doug) held a contest here on Tnet where you had to guess the total of dates added together on 20 dirty wheaty pennies. Well guess what, I won!! :icon_sunny: As an added bonus he said that if you guessed the number exact, you would get in addition to your choice of four different prizes, a 1923 Peace Dollar. Well guess what again, I guessed the exact number! :D So here pictured below are my "mailbox finds". I want to thank Doug again for being first class and holding this wonderful contest. Not only did he give up some of his precious silver, he got it mailed off immediately.   WTG, Doug! :hello2:

The booty is... a 1923 Peace Dollar, 3-1964d Washington Quarters, 1-1964 Washington Quarter, 2-No date Standing Liberty Quarters, and the 20 dirty wheaty pennies that was the cause of all this madness!

P.S. I had to post some pictures of the shipping box (not to gloat or anything). ;D

Congrats of the big silver win :icon_sunny: Doug is such a wonderful kind of man, isn't he :icon_king:

Thanks CJH, anyone that would give up his silver so that it could be my silver is a wonderful kind of guy.

With an act of such generosity as that one, how could anybody ever suspect him of evil?

I never tire of reading your posts plehbah. I've yet to meet Doug in person, so maybe he does have an evil side. :icon_jokercolor: BTW plehbah, I gave the dirty wheaty pennies a peroxide bath and now they are not so dirty wheaty pennies. Wish my copper coins came out of the ground in such good shape.

That is too funny 72'. ;D
Sorry, I went a bit crazy with the writing on the box. :tongue3:
You deserve all those coins with a guess like that. Dead on my man!!! You must be living right.
I do have an Evil side too, but it's spelled EVEL.
Thanks for the post buddy. You never know, you may hit it next time too.
By the way. There is a beautifully restored 72 Chevy Cheyenne by my work for sale. Looks like new. Unfortunately, I will need to dig a lot more coins in order to be able to afford the $18,900 price on it. :o
Congrats again Jason,
Doug

It just takes one "really good" coin to buy that truck. You never know what the next hunt holds! :o
