I was looking along a river and this shiny hunk of Smokey quartz grabbed my attention. Not sure what it is. Definitely worked but a core, broke tool? Wanted to get your thoughts. Looks like a busted-off flake/spall. Some of the quartz around this region is just horrible material. Maybe they started something and thought better of it.

Normally that is what I would think but the one end is flat and smooth.

I was able to hold this artifact in my hand and I am certain it was something. It’s just not easy to see in photos. Whatever it was, it was big. Just my opinion on it.
