HI Holly, I have been both south and north of Malibu, including under the Malibu pier, I found a gold 14k fountain south of Malibu close to Topanga beach, about 12 inches deep. Since Malibu is a busy beach,I would check it out, also Zuma beach, and farther north down the Pac.Coast Hwy :) in front of the sand Dunes . I had some imfo, that a Spanish gallon might be buried offshore, close to sand dunes, and in years past some very strange old worn carved pieces of wood have washed up close to the Dunes. Also some Spanish pieces of eight have been found in Malibu creek.
Good hunting to you. :)

Hi Holly,

I used to live in Reseda so whenever I felt the need for beach hunting Malibu was always a good spot to go. The beach on the north side of the pier has produced some silver rosies for me at low tide, but sometimes they come out pitted. I've found a 14k watch and some silver jewelry also at same spot. Never been up Malibu creek, though. Good luck and let us know how you do!

Ray
