I worked on an older property this weekend, will go back next week to finish it, I decided to put my ace 250 into jewelry mode and dig every beep. Well that pretty much only discriminates iron so I did dig a TON of trash, but at least I did not leave the gold behind...lol, I want to dig some gold so bad, but all I get is JUNK!!!!

only good finds so far are a 1928 wheat and a 1943 Mecury dime.

Boy do I know how you feel. I got so frustrated digging junque I started to hunt in coin mode with the sensitivity all but 2 bars from full. I finally dug an 1876 nickel. I know I probably missed a lot of signals but I finally got to dig a decent coin at least. Nice coins, looks like it was worth it after all.

Awesome finds Goes4ever. :o

Keep all the different metals sorted into separate buckets and you`ll end up with close to what my six month take home recycling receipt of $141.00 was.

No i didn`t recycle the silver or old coppers ::)

Is that a trapdoor rifle casing? Whats the head stamp say?

Sometimes you got to get the trash out of the way to get to the good stuff. Keep looking.

Goes4ever,
You've acomplished at least 2 things today. First, you've cleaned an area of trash, making the NEXT time you go easier. Second, you stuck with it till you got the silver! HUNDREDS of posts tell us "it's under the trash". Those that don't keep digging will never know how to get the silver! Good job! TTC
