Man, I'm getting tired of this!!!!!!!!! For the third time: First of 2006

I went to a couple of sites today, and found a few more goodies. At some land that I deet hunt on about 2 miles from Ft. Donelson, I found a (modern?) pistol bullet, a .44 cal pistol ball, and a harmonica reed. In town (Dover, TN) I found a rivet (I think the kind from a bayonet scabbord or cartridge box), and a .57 cal Enfield. That Enfield is as heavy as a cannon ball, I swear! Can't imagine surviving a hit with one of those!

Hope you all have more tremendous finds, and don't ever think a site is hunted out! I have an Enfield to prove it!!

Thanks for looking, and great finds to all of you.

Roger

I think it was Ed Fedory who said that harmonica ownership must have been a requirement for citizenship in the 19th century.

Those reeds sure are the trademark find on sites like that, ain't they? I lost count of how many I've found.

Nice digs.I find a good many of those harmonica reeds here in Germany also. I did not know what they were for a long time untill I saw them on here.
