Hello all! Got permission to hunt a 1910s house today in my old neighborhood. I dug this part of a ring, wiped it off & saw a coin! It looked good too as it wasn't corroded at all like the ring encasing it. I thought I had found a gold sovereign! I was about to take it to a jeweler to get it removed and a buddy sends me a pic of a gold plated ring exactly the same as this, was selling for 5 or 6 bucks. What a bummer!!!! I also found a Marine Corps button marked D Evans & Co Mass which i believe to be WWI era (feel free to correct me if Im wrong). Also got a wheat spill(3). I covered the hole twice and was still getting signals, too bad it wasn't a silver spill. I called it a day after this site to research the ring, I should've stayed out! Oh well, one more full day of hunting then back to the big city and back to work. HH!
