Match safe / bale seals ??? / musket balls and couple WHAT IS ITs

Beautiful day today here -6 early tgis morning..but no wind and the sun popped out.

Made for a beautiful day detecting.

Found the coin within 10 mins... thought was in for a great day !!!

The finds slowed down for sure soon after.... but a few musket balls popped out along with some other neat stuff.

There is few WHAT IS IT items here ....appreciate any help you guys can give to identify them.

The black piece seems to be made of pewter.

The cylindrical piece appears to have a cap on it and seems t be hollow.

The coin...maybe NB or NS penny ?

2 pieces with ssdl and ashland va...bale seals possibly ?

My guess is a Canada LC with the row of beads inside the legends.
I like the bale seals, as I always seem to keep finding the same one over, and over.

"maybe" the tublar item is also a match safe it looks like the top "should" screw off.

The seal that looks to have R. F. & P. R. R. on it is a railroad cargo seal. Richmond, Fredricksburg and Potomac Rail Road. The other side is a station agent's initials that applied to seal to the cargo.

My pinpointer went dead...couldn,t look for the top part of the safe--will return to look again..very muddy there...pinpointer a must.

YES ..it does...it is perfectly flat on the back like it was glued to something.... looks like it is made of the same stuff as the black hilt cover I found a few days ago....assuming its pewter..as there is absolutely no corrosion..very few materials do not corrode in salt water.

That was another thought I had.

OK...these are just "ideas" so. a solvent like varsol, or penetrating oil, or maybe eve WD-40, none of those would at least change the color / patina as found. If those don't work you could move up to something a bit stronger.

I am assuming it is a brass or simailar metal ?
