Hey everyone, well my skunk streak ended up growing to 27 boxes in a row! Monday picked up 4 boxes and 3 were skunks the last one gave up 6 40's. I picked up my last 8 boxes for the week, 1 was a repacked dump and the other 7 all gave up something! So this is the results from the seven boxes, I didn't keep good track of each box as I had a couple of freinds over letting our kids all play together, so it was a crazy house last night, but 3 of the boxes were really good some rolls having 3 in them, 1 box had 2 enders ( 1 was a Ben) sorry no pick of that I don't know what happened. Also got this coin maybe someone can tell me about ( Sagattarias maybe) it looks silver, no clad showing, but doesn't sound like it, 1970 fifty cent piece, still a cool find for me too. Also got some proofs and 3 more Magicians coins and 1 holed 64 for the keychain. So that was a long skunk streak for me of 2 weeks, enough to try anyones patients for this hobby, lol. Anyway, Good luck to everyone hunting today and have a safe New Year! HH, Maverick.

Allmost for got the numbers duh,

90's = 33 and I think my oldest walker to date, 1917
40's = 27

That's a nice haul. Halves haven't produced much for me over the last month of so. The Bermuda 50 cents coin is copper nickel.

Is the Mexican coin the inside of a Kennedy magicians coin? I found a Kennedy magicians coin that has a British Large Penny inside of it.

Wow, that's great! Never seen a 90% with a hole drilled in it. I did get a 40% like that once (the hole was in the center though).

I've been having bad luck too, but not a skunk streak lasting two weeks. I do get a lot of repacked dumps like you, and it's getting hard to get rid of them since even though I have accounts at all the local banks they do not like to accept rolled halves.

I've never gotten a Bermuda half before. Looks pretty neat!

Congratulations on breaking the streak. I hoped I wasn't taking all the silver away from your coast. Hehe And nice Ben's and Walker's. I have yet to find one.

Hey Uncle, yes it is, the second one down would not pop open and the 3rd one down the row looks like someone beat it with a hamer or something and definetly wont open. I have about 15 of these things now, I save all of them I find. HH, Maverick.

Hey richard, this is probably the 3rd one with a hole in it that I have, I have couple of 40's with a similar hole in them. The Bremuda half played tricks on me when I saw it in the roll from the edge, it sure looked Silver. I'll pm you later when I have time, need to talk to ya about the banks.. HH, Maverick.

Thanks Bigheed, it was nice only having 1 skunk outta the last 8 boxes, and that was a repack dump. My 2 best freinds came over to let our kids play together and watched me while I was searching them, even after they saw that I pulled like 600.00 in silver out of these boxes and sat with me while I searched 7 boxes they looked at me at the end of all of it and said " Uh uh, no way would I go through what you just did to get that", my response, "LMAO, you guys gotta be kidding me right?" They had no interest in trying it at all, said it was just too much trouble, it was cool to see me do it, but, no way they would ever attempt it, lol. Just goes to show people that we are defintly a different brred of hobbiest that do this. HH, Maverick.

Hey FF, nope, there's still some out there, ha ha. Don't worry, the Bens and Walkers will show up eventually, it took me many boxes at first to get any, I think with in my first 2 months of only doing like 2-4 boxes a week. Now it seems pretty normal to find them in a box if it has silver. HH, Maverick.

Damn nice mav!! Sick boxes!

This week I managed to find (3) 90's in one box(kennedy, then a 42 walker, then a 51 ben) and a 1970 40% in another, 9 boxes searched...

I broke some personal records... My previous record for halves was from last week, (1) 40% lol, twice... So (3) 90% is awesome and also the first 1970 I have found, I thought they were non-existent haha... Im at about 35 boxes searched since I started and only hit silver last week, although most of the silver I have found was from CWR's/teller tray finds

Big congrats on the 70, I have searched for about a year now hundreds of boxes and am still looking for my first 1970! I have found 1 Barber ( 1908), and a Silver 82 George Washington Com proof coin, but no 70 yet, very nice score to get from the start! It comes in little bursts ( as you can see from my past few weeks), just wait on the next one and it will happen. HH, Maverick.

Hey Maverick,

What general area of FL are you in? I posted under another name back in 2010 when I got into halves but have not posted since. I hit a simalar streak but mine lasted over 80 boxes. Longest ever for me.

Wow, I had no idea they were that rare, I just hadnt seen any myself, and have only found about 100+ 40%ers, and dont recall seeing any on here... but most people dont take pics of all the 40% they find...

Thats crazy you havent found one, i know you do more than I do, and probably for alot longer lol...

That Bermuda half is copper nickel and worth 60 to 70 cents. It has a mintage of 1 million, which is the most common half from Bermuda. The lowest mintage was 1984-1985 at 40,000.
