Maybe old marble found

I found this marble? at an old homestead, just walking along and it caught me eye. One half is red and the other is blue. The blue side might be exposed because the red part is chipped off. Any ideas on it's age and manufacture or even if it is a marble or not. It measures about 5/8 inch in diameter, thanks.

Bet your right, didn't think of that. It was found close to an old trash burning area. One of the cans might of popped and the glass ball was left there. Wonder if they still use glass balls as can mixers.
 

you bet they do.....jabo inc of marietta ohio makes tons on industrial marbles just for that purpose...they do not rust and will last forever....the size best for paint cans is 15mm.....
 

Wow! Who woulda' thunk?!!! I kinda can see that being the case though, the blue look's as if it may have been the paint. Personally, I still think it's cool, but don't ask me to buy it!! I have more than my share of worthless marble's!! :icon_scratch:
