I've posted this on the What Is It forum too but thought I'd share here. I figured that one of the artifact experts out there will recognize this as soon as they see. Taking nothing from the research knowledge on the other forum. Just sharing because it's a neat little item.

Trying to figure what it fell out of and how old.

It's about 1/16th inch thick.

Is it a magnet?? almost looks like one with the back there but im sure you would have figured that out yet.

No, H.D. it's not a magnet and it's non-magnetic as well. It almost looks like something that broke off something like a badge or something. The colors appear to be porcelain, set in a brass casing. It just gives me a feeling of age. :dontknow:

I just caught myself and looked at some state flags that is a Maryland state flag i think? looks somewhat similar too it!
