I was detecting in an old river that was 'drained' awhile ago in the middle of the forest, there is rumors of medieval places nearby. And I got a strong 50's signal, dug it up and got a quite old looking copper ring: IMG_7518[2].JPG IMG_7520[1].JPG IMG_7522[1].JPG IMG_7523[1].JPG (The scale is in Centimeters)
I just wonder how old this ring could be, I didn't find almost any information on the internet and my guess is 1600's to 1800's. It's a quite small ring too. So if you know anything please let me know.

I have seen some of the 18th century rings, and technology was fairly advanced by then. I think your piece is fantastic and perhaps a LOT older. Good luck on the ID. Could even be as old as Viking.

Most likely a bronze (or brass ring). Copper should ring up a bit higher on the Garrett ACE. Sweet find none-the-less!
