I dove the Cooper River in Charleston SC this year for the first time and found a ton of Meg teeth. Most were in rough shape but a couple were pretty nice.

Next best place to look would probably be Venice Beach, Florida.

Do these teeth collect in certain areas or depths in the Cooper river area?

The teeth are found in rock beds at the bottom of the river. The currents push the rocks, fossils and other heavy debri into beds. You sort through the rocks and stuff and pull out the teeth. At one spot, the sand was pretty prevelant so I fanned through it and found fossils a few inches under the surface of the sand.

When I hunt for fossils on the Chipola River in Florida I have to fan throught the sand to get to them; they are rarely on the surface.
