A friend who lives in a nearby town sent me this picture and message this morning....." I found this at the "free" store.. it looks like some coins that had been through a fire nobody else wanted them ... I'd like to check them out at the gold and silver place.. chunks of something. "........I thought it was interesting.

Very interesting find, the top fragmentary coin is an older Canadian quarter, wonder what the rest was?
