Today was not a normal Monday hunt.
It was Memorial Day.
I was a little quiet today while my wife and daughter accompanied me to the beach today. Thinking about those that have fallen in the defense of this country.
2 that come to mind are Aric J. Barr USMC and Paul Smith US Army.
Now Aric I knew a little... I went to school with his oldest brother, I knew his other brother a bit and my cousin is his cousin on his father's side. I remember him as a chunky little boy. Unfortunately that's all I can remember about him. All 3 boys (Men) were Marines.
Now Paul Smith, I didn't know but from time to time I see a memorial sticker on the back window of a passing vehicle in the local area. Here's a bit of info http://www.army.mil/medalofhonor/smith/profile/index.html
Once I got my wife and daughter settled in their beach chairs and umbrella, I started my hunt.
The beach started filling up quick.
My daughter escorted me for most of my hunt (3 hours) I was hunting metals, she was hunting shells.
The rest of my afternoon consisted of pulling my daughter through the water (rough gig)
Finds straight from the pouch
