I got out for a little hunt after work yesterday. Hit a spot that has been hunted by the best... but was able to squeek out a few coins. I got a '45 wheatie and this '44 Merc.... plus the usual clad and some trash.

In an effort to post something other than coins...
I found this Art Deco makeup tin. It is a Richard Hudnut Marvelous rouge or eye makeup tin. It's from the late '30s and the lid still works! They don't them like they used to...

Thanks for looking. GL&HH!

That's a very cool make-up tin.....not that I'm into make-up or anything but it would be great for putting finds into or fish hooks or something other then make up....I'll shut up, got to go fix my mascara now.

That's a pretty merc. Would make a super hat pin! I think that is now 6 silvers from that spot if I'm not mistaken. It would take some looking but I am sure there are more there. Congrats on the merc and make-up tin.

Thanks MM. I tried it out last night actually... holds 3 dimes or 2 quarters. I just couldn't resist.

Thanks CJON... hope all is well.

It was really nice to find the Merc, as all the high end machines had been through the spot and missed it... the facial expressions were priceless! It came out of the ground without tarnish... a little baking soda rub got her all cleaned up. GL&HH!

Doesn't matter how high the machine's end is if it's coil is in the wrong space! I believe that may be the same makeup I use.....err makeup TIN I use.
