Nice Mercs! Silver sure looks nice coming out of the ground, doesn't it? I love that bright, shiney red nickel too! HH!

The soil was quite damp, had a good layer of small stone under the grass and the dirt was just damp and sort of muddy. It seems as though back in the day when they began the festivals that there was a lot of stone brought in to help the field with drainage or to help the people be able to walk around and not be in mud, not sure.
Why the nickel is red? Some clay a little deeper but it wasn't red, more cream color.
Not sure whe the Mercs are black either.

Nice digs Chris! The ground was a little rough on them but they should clean up nice.
I like the little run of dates that you had.Pretty neat. HH!
