You are invited to attend the California Lake Management Society (CALMS) conference in Davis, October 9 and 10, 2014. The conference themes are Mercury Management, Watershed Connections, and Quagga Mussels. The entire first morning of the conference agenda will focus on mercury management: an in-depth discussion about the Statewide Reservoirs Mercury Control Program and TMDL, plus reservoir water chemistry and fisheries management practices, studies, and pilot tests. The second day is a field trip to Camanche Reservoir to hear about its hypolimnetic oxygenation system. The attached flyer and newsletter contain more information about the conference and CALMS.
Water Board staff will make presentations and participate in discussions at the conference, but we are not the conference organizers. For more information about the conference, please contact the CALMS Northern California Director, Stephen McCord ([email protected]).
